      Ridetech's '67 Chevelle Build

      Hey everyone,

I thought it was about time to go ahead and start a build thread on this car. Our body shop has been working on this project on and off for the last couple of years. Now, they're back on it full time. The fabrication that goes on in their shop never seizes to amaze me. The amount of meticulous work that has gone into each panel has been very cool to see come together. From watching them, I can only dream about having the talent and patience that it takes to build a car of this caliber. The car came into the shop extremely clean to begin with but they're taking it to a whole different level. I'll keep this one updated as progress goes on (I have a lot to catch everyone up on right now though!). First off, pictures of the bone stock, untouched car.

      Thanks, Drake!

The end goal of this car is to make an extremely nice car for Sharon (Bret's wife/co-owner/one of the best cook's you'll ever meet) that is rental-car reliable.

      Some tear down/rotisserie pictures:

Thanks guys! It was definitely a good find.

After the blasting, the coat of primer went on, and then they were ready to start doing some fabrication.

I don't know where that car has been all it's life but man, it's in really good shape from the looks of it. Very good find! I too, am interested to see the end result.

I agree! I wish I could find something in this good of shape! Haha.

I'm going to take it back one step and show the pictures while this one was in bare metal, I forgot I had these pictures. There was alot of work done before it had the epoxy primer on it so these are good to see as well!

This is one more example of what the "hobby" has come to. It's more common than not that the whole vehicle is disassembled and then updated and re-assembled. If this isn't done, it won't be as good as it could. Makes no difference if it's pro-touring or a restoration. It all has to be addressed. I'm sure this car will be fab when it's completed.

Did you have any concern of the frame warping without bracing during welding? Great metal work skills.

It's been a while since I've posted an update. Kurt has done a ton of fab work over the last few months. The tedious work continues!

Thanks Josh! Any details as to the OEM application for the booster and MC? Someone did a fantastic job building the pedal and booster support bracketry.

Anytime! The booster and MC are from a C7 Z06. Kurt has definitely done an awesome job on the fab work. I'm amazed every time I go check out the car!
