Got cage bent and tacked in.It really turned out good, stayed real high and tight, from the outside of the car you can't even see it.Going to pull the body off one more time to make tigging all the tubing easier. While the body is off I'll prime it,by next weekend it should be installed for keeps.Ron

Talk about making a buck go far. This project is great. Reading the title of the thread, I was not expecting a project this impressive. Cannot wait to see more.

Body back off while I tig the tubing, kind of cool looking like this.sprung for the chromoly tubing,so it has to be tigged, kind of wish I'd had used mild steel, and I would have been done 2 days ago.Ron

How is the budget doing? Springing for Chr-Mo tubing? Hope you are watching your $5k... I'm cheering you on, hope you make it!

Me too! Can't tell that the car is a Mustang when you see that pic, especially with the LS engine in there. Looks like a good start for an actual racecar, not something you'd be able to drive around, especially with that budget!

I really only have 3 frill items, new headers, chromoly tubing for the cage and Kirkey seats, the rest is either fabricated or used.In my mad race to get to RTTH I have to say I've called and ordered more then I should have.I calculated pretty close yesterday,I may have to change the name of the thread to fifty some hundred dollar Mustang {being in a rush is a bitch, and expensive}Ron

Yeah, I hear ya Ron, I'm rushing the Nova along to get the build done before mid-September and I can chalk up at least $2k in stuff that I could have fabbed or improvised if I had more time. Ah well, nobody ever said PT was cheap! LOL

Still, awesome job so far man.
