You hit two of my top three with the General and Bandit. I grew up in the 80's and KITT always had my attention along with the A-team van.

The bad guys' 68 Charger R/T in Bullitt. When they grab 2nd gear going up the hill at the beginning of the chase, that is just a beautiful thing!

General Lee, Rockford's Firebird Esprit, the Monkeemobile. One of my favorites though that's a little off in left field as a "star car" but I think is very cool is the 1972 Dodge D300 squad from Emergency!

Well, I loved the Bandit's Trans Am SE, Mad Max's Falcon coupe gets me because I've owned a few of them.
One I really like is the Black Charger from Bullitt.

My favorites are the real Gone in 60 seconds Mach 1 Mustang (not that Nick Cage monstrosity), Vanishing Point Challenger, Rockford's Firebird, Adam-12 1968/69 Plymouth, C10 pickup used in the last chase of "Driver" (awesome chase to view on youtube), and Bullit 1968 GT Mustang.

I know it is going to PO a lot of people to call the redo of 60 Seconds "GT500" a monstrosity, agreed it is a need car but it has nothing to do with a Shelby. It is a modifiers dream of a modern day custom of the Shelby that has way to much cr@p hung on it.

We're probably all looking for classic muscle here, but I'll throw in Magnum's 308gtsi (loved that thing as a kid) and for kicks Al Bundy's Plymouth Duster (though they always called it a dodge). The Duster isn't very sexy, but definitely iconic.

I agree. You can still get those 308's at a decent deal and they're still way cool rides. I guess the problem, as with anything, would be the maintenance.

      Had a few.
Of course, the Bullitt Mustang, also liked the fastback in Spencer for Hire.
The Sunbeam Tiger from Get Smart.
The Aston Martin DB from James Bond.
