Did you consider calling up Neslon and asking how much it was???

A long block is going to set you back in the region of $15+k intake another $400. then if you go carb a CSU 850 is another $900. Frank does about the best deal I could find on Prochargers and believe me I looked everywhere! Call him for a price but anywhere from 5k to 7k depending on just how silly you want to get with a big block. If your going turbos probably add another 10k for those + plumbing. Headers, ignition, cooling then a drivetrain to handle all this power. By the time you get to the flex plate you have to realisticly be thinking $25 - 30k if you want reliable power in the 1000hp+ mark.

Yea I know everyone has a story of a $300.oo junkyard engine built up with spare parts running 8's and making 1200hp but leave them for the bar. Thats where they belong. Shove in enough boost or nitrous and most engines will live long enough to produce a dyno sheet but not many can do it time and time again. Not unless reliability has been invested in from the start.

That is one impressive car... Can't imagine what it is like at 2,000 hp? Where do we get tickets for a ride?

The "Blue Beast" that's what I should have put on the plates:-) Been working on it pretty much over the last few months - adding in various gauges and making modifications in the suspension for better street handling. Progress is good. I think it will take me the rest of the winter to to get it where I want it, so next summer I should be all set. It's great at the shows, I get crowds and lots of people come back at show end to hear it run. One guy was standing about 2 feet from the side exhaust when I started it - it startled him so much he fell backwards...too funny....
