      New Brake Offset

      Hello
I am building a 68 chevelle. I'm planning on buying new wheels & Brakes. But funds are running low. I currently have 15" ralleys with front disc & rear drums.
      Wheel plan is 17X8 - front, 17X11 or 18X10 - rear.
      Wilwood Brakes 13" front & 12" rear.
The problem is I can't afford both right now.
If I buy the wheels first, then the brakes.
How much will the new brakes offset the backspacing?

      Thanks

If you are buying an off the shelf Wilwood kit, then you should be able to find out how much variation in offset the kit will provide.

Prodigy Customs is an authorized retailer of Wilwood products on here. They should be able to help you out.

Once you know how much the wilwood hubs are going to change your offset, you should be able to figure out what backspacing you will need to order for your wheels.

If you are piecing the Wilwood kit together yourself, then I would recommend doing a 2-D layout drawing of everything.

      Dipen, your hired!

The track changes ever so slightly, the caliper clearance is of concern but we can build it into your wheels.

Call me and we can discuss your plans and options
