Okay I know all these photos of the fuel tank getting modified probably aren't the most interesting to look at.. Haha. But Here are some more photos. I've got both side panels mocked into place and fitting really tight. I'm currently still making more pieces but until the corner pick-ups come in from vaporworx I won't be able to tack anything else together. I've also got the original fuel tray cut out and the new Vaporworx Retroworx tray mocked into place. It BARELY clears the span of the old tray. In fact I might add some material on both sides just to give me more to weld to. Front and back are good. I've also been blind staring at how I want to do my fuel tank vent line. I've really been entertaining venting it out of the top of the fuel filler neck. Unless anyone has see issues with this. I also need to get my carbon canister ordered so I can decided where that will mount. Then I can make sure the vent line is routed correctly. I will probably route it on the exterior of the tank with some stainless steel 1/4" hard line. Maybe weld some bungs to the tank to allow for some adel clamps or something.

Thought I would post some pix of the fully welded tank. Back purged with Argon and all welded up. It's got corner pickups and a CTS-V fuel pump. This baby is ready for action.

Sorry John, no updates at this time. As Robski points out I've been working on our 65 Cutlass after my Dad hit a deer with it. Progress on that car can be seen here - https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/...-Project/page8

Once the Olds is back on the ground and finished I will migrate back to the Studebaker. Just seems like whenever I get going on it again something else pops up and takes my efforts. Granted, didn't need to mini tub the Olds but it will be worth it in the end.

Thanks for the fine compliments Dan. I do have a dimple die set so that isn't out of the questions. Just trying to decide on how I want the final interior to look.

I've followed your build as well and am jealous that your are driving it. One day I'll drive this beater. I promise!

      Thanks Wayne!

Here are a couple more detail shots that I never posted.

      vaporworx corner pickup..

I also need to rework the neck, so, I've chosen to go with a late model style fill neck with the little stopper door and everything. At least try to keep the fuel from running down the back of the car! Haha.

I know it's old but any updates on this? I'm currently building a much more mild PT style 1960 Lark. Awesome work though so far.

I started a build thread, link in my signature, I just didn't want to muddle up this one with off topic chit chat.

Just got done building a 78 Blazer with my Dad. Have a few other little things I'd like to do but I have been looking at the Studebaker for a while. I think I'd like to lower the STS turbos down and try to get a back seat in this car. I'll be working on it soon though. Thanks for the interest!

Finished Blazer.. Build thread here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=705252
