Take a look at these. I have em on my truck and they are great. You would just have to cut the edge straight, use a metal lock nut and you may have to trim down the bolt to make sure it clamps rite

I also wanted to comment on your exhaust. I know that this is against the norm but if you are having too hard of a time with the steering shaft issue, maybe try using the passenger side manifold or shorty header on the drivers side and run the exhaust tube down and in front of the steering rack. Throw a heat shield in there somewhere too

      Asa,

No updates at the moment though I have been doing a lot of staring at the trans crossmember and the exhaust. We are completely rebuilding our 65 Olds at the moment for Power Tour 2012.. Once that is finished I will be jumping back on this car. My next things inline on this car are to get the front suspension finished up and move on to the exhaust, trans crossmember, steering column as well as work on a bunch of sheet metal..

Be sure to lookout for our Olds thread update soon. Alot of things getting done and will have photos to post in the next couple weeks.

You have a very unique car you are building and it is amazing what you have done so far.

One off the topic question. Is Bart still selling the Bart Works SLA stuff for SN95 Mustangs?

      Hey Matt,

Bart is currently redeveloping the kits that he used to sell. He is making some upgrades to the design. PM me if you want me to have him contact you about them.

      rfalker1,

Thanks! Rebuilding our Oldsmobile has been a TON of work as everytime I turn around it seems I'm hand building things.. I promise this car is not stalled out, I have been "blind staring" at a bunch of things these past couple months and I will be psyched when I can jump back on this beast. A couple surprises have still yet to be let out about this car!

Hi phillip, Love the build i keep hinking bout this build wondering hows it coming along. Just off topic a bit how long did it take prodgy to get you your column? Ive waited in excess of 7 months now for sum parts to arrive and keep getting the run around!! Its frustrating the hell out of me. im nearly ready to get on a plane and pay them a visit!!!

Ha! Don't worry. I've been really busy working on our Oldsmobile getting it ready for Power Tour. Should see some updates on this car around June or so..

It did take a while to get the column from them, but my column was a custom size.. maybe a month to get it or so? I can't imagine Frank giving someone the run around. Good luck Tony, I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with it.
