What wall thickness for cold air intake?

I am going to make a cold air intake for the LT1 from some 3.5" diameter aluminum tubing. I can order it in .065", .083", & .120" wall thicknesses. Which should I use? I think .120" is overkill but easier to weld. My thoughts are to use .083". What do you think?

      Thanks,
      Scot

Strength wise, the .065" wall would be fine. Make sure to back-gas the welds if you want it to be its strongest.
