      Any Pro-tour 67-72 Chevrolet Trucks ???

Are any of you all working on any of these trucks? If so post some pics. I'm starting on a 70 C-10 and would like to see what others are doing.

      Thanks

      Mark

I am working on a '69 Blazer 4wd. Doesn't quite fit the definition of Pro-Touring, I call it Pro-Trucking. 400hp LT1, 700R4, 4 wheel dics brakes, 17x9 wheels, 2.5/4" lift, 33" tires, sway bars, blah, blah, blah. I have plans for a SWB after I finish the Blazer that will definitely be PT'd.Mike

I think a short bed or blazer would be sweet, especially with the early GMC grill, I think it had four headlights.

      no time for mine....

      don't wanna hi-jack but....

i have a fairly solid '67 c10 stepside (small window cab) sitting outback that i am no longer interested in playing with. i put a 350ci/700r4 in it (fairbanks internals) and drove it for a cpl yrs before parking.

it needs finished/re-done; i'd rather let it go to someone interested than letting it sit waiting for me. it has factory PS and pwr drum brakes which i hadn't seen much of..?

i'd just like to get something fair out of it or different (camaro) parts i could use. i've got a bit over 4k in it i guess, i'd look for around half that. pm me if interested in more details.

      Project pics.

Here is a pic of the project. A friend of the family bought this truck brand new at Charles West Chevrolet in Maryville, TN. After the owner died his 82 year old wife called me and told me she wanted to give me the truck. I've already changed lug pattern from 6 lug to 5 lug chev. car, changed front crossmember and added disk brakes and wheels lowered about 4/6. Truck is factory 350/350th, ps,ac. Started stripping the paint and waiting on Goodmark to come out with new steel bed floor in April. Considering a 454 swap but not decided yet.

      Thanks, Mark

Looks pretty straight which is a rarity for trucks, and especially for that vintage. Should be a great project.

that one looks like a nice starting point. i do like the shortbed vs the stepside i've got. i'll have to keep an eye out for a bed incase i ever get motivated to do something with what i've got.

you happen to know what oem disk brake upgrade options are available for those? if i decide to mess with mine anymore, i'd have to keep it on the cheap since the camaro is priority at the moment.

I actually changed my front crossmember (spindles, drums, all) and replaced it with a complete crossmember out of a 71. I replaced all the bushings, control arm shafts, & ball joints out of the truck and re-installed. Very easy to do.
