New member, 1971 Olds Cutlass, excited to be here!

I found this forum looking for information on 6L80E vs 4L80E, and found it interesting. I read the directions when I registered and am posting to intruduce myself. I'm a 51 year old life-long gearhead. I've been into Oldsmobiles, and have owned several G-bodies, including a black 1986 Cutlass Supreme that I put a 455 Olds in with a TH2004R and 3.73 8.5 10 bolt that ran 12's that got stolen in 2004. That and having kids and changing careers took me away from owning a hot rod/muscle car of any kind for 19 years. That changed in June of 2023 when I purchased what I thought was a rust free 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass S with a brown bench seat interior, smog era 350 Olds, TH400, and 3.08 8.2" 10 bolt axle. I intended to replace the drive train from day one, but since buying it have also replaced the driver's side floor pan, the roof skin, the A-pillars, both inner and outer cowl panels, and the driver's side cowl to rocker reinforcement panel. I have a 4L80E built by Cyclone Transmission in Canton, OH ready to go in except I need a torque converter. It has a new 12 bolt Chevy axle with 3:42 gears, Moser 33 spline axles and weld on bearing retainers, an Eaton TrueTrac posi, and an Olds W-27 finned alloy cover. The pumkin is painted aluminum to look like the rare aluminum center section 12 bolt O-type axles. The wheels and tires are 18"x9.5" Vision American Muscle 143 with 275/40-R18's all the way around.
