Ford 9" Axle Bearings questions.

What type of axle bearings are most commonly used? Ball bearings or taper roller bearings?

And more importantly to me, is there any problem with running the taper roller bearings in a P-T car?

My chassis builder suggested tapered rollers in my Fab 9. He builds predominately drag race cars and uses ball bearings in that application.

Thanks Clint. I did a little more research and that is what I came up with. Tapered rollers are preferred for side loads. Looks like I will just be replacing my bearings with the same type.
