      TR6060 in a 68 camaro?

hey guys! so like the title states im looking at putting a TR6060 in my 68. it will be behind a built LQ4 6.0L but my question is will the trans fit in a 68? the trans came out of a challenger. ive heard of people swapping the tail housings on the TR6060s but im just looking to see what else i would have to do considering the trans isnt fairly inexpensive that ive found. thanks for your help everyone

I just put one in my 67 Firebird. I had to raise the tunnel up about 1". Other issues, that I'm sure you're aware of, are the remote mount shifter, and the flanged output shaft. I bought an MGW shifter kit that mounts the shifter to the case, and had a local driveshaft shop made a slip yoke/sonax adapter for the driveshaft.

IMO, there are better 6 speed transmission options out there.

True, but from a price point of view, TR6060's are easier to find on the used market. T56s from 98-02 Camaros are still expensive, at least in my area, and used T56 Magnums are impossible to find.
