      77 Buick Regal

Decided to move this from the Open Discussion to this area. I purchased a Regal with thoughts of going the Pro Touring route but decided after spending time on the forum to go towards a Resto Mod type build. So far I have replaced the stock ball joints, added Energy Suspension bushings, Bell Tech 1 inch lowering springs, and KYB gas shocks. I am in the process of updating the rear suspension with parts from UMI and converting the rear drum breaks to a disc break set up, after that will be a close ration steering box. I am waiting on American Racing Magnum style wheels 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears. When they arrive will be going to local tire shop to take some measurements and decide on tire sizes, my goal is to fill up the wheel wells. Progress has been slow as I am attempting to do as much of this work as I can on my own. After all these upgrades are done, I will evaluate where I am at and just drive the car for awhile.Name: IMG_0412.JPG

Is that the car's present ride height? What's the tire sizes, in those pics?

No that is the height before it was lowered, the tires are 205/75-15.

      Those 205/75/15's are 27" tall. On those new 17x8 fronts, you could go with a 245/45/17 @ 25.6" tall. On those 17x9 rears, you could go with either a 275/40/17 @ 25.7" tall or a 285/40/17 @ 26" tall.
Lots of decent tires available in those sizes and 17's are a lot cheaper than 18's.

Ordered my tires today, went with 245-45-17 for the front and 275-40-17 for the rear. Tire guy couldn't find much of a selection in the 285 size.
