QA1 Lower Control Arm

Hi All,

In the photo there is a nut and bolt threaded into the lower Control arm. You can see the slightly curved extension of the steering arm. Am I correct in saying that is used as a limit stop for steering otherwise the steering arm will make contact with the lower Control arm.
