      1969 camaro wide fender

I am looking to at subframe options with the idea of 315 front tire. Wanted to stay with stock fenders, but nay need to consider wider front fender. the anvil fenders look good, cost a bit, and have a wait to produce. Haven't found any other wide fender being produced. Thinking about modifying a new metal fender and want to look stock in appearance. Probably need good inch to inch and a half wider than stock. Any with anvil fenders? other options?

I have Anvil fenders. I stretched my rear quarters to match using the technique in this thread which also shows fender stretches:

Fit was pretty good. Mine are fiberglass so they did need a little work to prep for paint. I used all Anvil parts on the front end with the exception of a Ring Brothers hood.

Looks like you have the rs headlights. Did the fenders already have the two tabs that the outer headlight mounts

Your 69 is looking great Don! I just wish someone made wide front fenders for the 68.

I think it would be relatively easy to widen a set of 68 metal fenders so long as you only wanted an inch or so of extra width.

It might not be a big deal for a body man, problem is I'm not a body man and have no idea where to start. Anvil indicated they are not interested in offering wide fenders for the 67/68. I have reached out to both BOS and JCG but have not received any reply from either. I just can't seem to find anyone interested in talking to me about widening a pair of 68 fenders. I may just order a pair of AMD fenders, start cutting and see what I end up with.

Do you want a simple flare of the wheel opening or more like a widebody stretch?

There is a lot of videos on YouTube.

Basically, I want to keep the profile of the stock fender well lip just make it about 1.5 wider. I don't want it to be obvious that the fender is wider. No bolt on flares or anything that looks add on. I really really like the fenders on the one lap Camaro of James Shipka's 67 and that is why I tried to get in touch with BOS. Locally, there is nothing but collision repair shops that only know how to bolt on parts and squirt paint. I will just keep poking around and sooner or later I will find someone.

So stretched like this. Looks like it might take four fenders to make two. I am not a metalshaping guru but it looks like maybe they used a planishing hammer to stretch the fender.

Yes, that's what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, that kind of metal work is way beyond my skill set. I just need to find someone to make me a pair.

What size tire do you estimate the widebody fenders allow you to run with a stock frame?
