At one time there were a series of pictures on the One Lap Camaro build thread that showed how BOS sectioned the upper wheel opening to get the flair but they disappeared a while back. Maybe James still has them and could be persuaded to post them again.

Would be great to see those pics because I am a little puzzled by what was done. I don’t really see any sectioning, just an overlay of a section from another fender.

I don’t think James has been around for a long time.

from what I remember bos used a English wheel to stretch the metal for the flare. that's why there are marks just where the flare is.

For 67/68 Camaros JCG makes a carbon fiber wide fender. Though from what I understand it isn't a simple bolt on deal. Locally, we have at least two cars running those fenders.

Also, on a 67/68 if you don't also flare the rear then you will end up with a wider track width up front than the rear. If you are more motivated by aesthetics then no big deal but if all out performance is your goal having different track widths from front to rear can affect handling characteristics.

I don't see those fenders on the JCG web site.

As far as I know they make them on request only. And minimum quantity is 2 sets so you have to either wait until someone else wants a set or find someone to partner up with you. If you are seriously interested I'd call the shop.

      This stretch is nicely done.

The above flair is nicely done but it is way too obvious for my taste with the front spoiler blended in and the flair behind the tire. This is more what I'm looking for on James Shipka's One Lap Camaro. Minus the front air dam, you have to look really close to see the flair.

I couldn't find a good solution for the 67/68 either and the prices on the few options there were justified me just making my own.

I sliced and extended the fender by 2 inches from the headlight to behind the front tire and then curved it back to meet the body line by the door. You can see what I did in the first two pictures and the cut lines I followed marked out on the passenger side.

This should allow for quite a wide tire when all said and done.

By moving the front edge of the fender out 2 inches I will have to recreate the headlight bezels but plan to make new composite bezel pieces and use the 2 inches on the outside of the headlight area to integrate brake cooling inlets behind mesh of some sorts.

Once I have these set and molded I can start on extending the rears to match.
