      Flex coupler

When are flex couplers needed? I see that some cars use them, and some don’t.

For relieving stress on your vehicle's entire exhaust system. By design, relieving this stress will reduce the premature cracking of manifolds and downpipes and help extend the life of other components. From Vibrant's Performance website.

never used any personally but would have to see a problem before i would spend the money to modify, good to know there is an option.

I have them on mine. I got them to give the exhaust some flex versus being rigid. I heard they pay off bigger dividends on sideway mounting engines like imports.
