Need feedback Richmond 6spd ROD or tko 600

So I am going over to an LS3 which just got delivered. I have never had an issue with my Richmond at all. I spoke to Silver Sport Transmisions today and I was basically talked into a tko600 stage 2. I only want to do this once. What do you guys think?

I had a Richmond in my car from 98-2012... strong trans, required tunnel mods for the shift linkage on my camaro, didn’t like to shift over 6000rpm. Went to a t56 magnum when I did my ls swap and love it, best shifting transmission I own. Sorry no experience on tko... dan

Call Bowler and ask them about the T56 Magnum.

I bought silver sport transmission's T56 magnum for my 68. Absolutely no tunnel mods required. Waiting on the driveshaft, so haven't driven it yet. Depending on your car, I recommend going straight to the T56.

I would have to agree with these other guys. An out of the box T56 Magnum would be perfect for your LS3. Yes, the TKO will work just fine, but if you're starting from scratch I would go with the 6 Speed. You'll never regret it and it doesn't need any mods to work well with that engine.

Agreed on the Magnum. It's a world class transmission.

I don't believe Richmond parts are readily available any longer which would put it way down on the want list.
