      Thoughts on interior color

I知 building a 78 protouring trans am. The car is all black and I知 having a hard time choosing an interior color. I知 between the dark red and straight black. What does everyone think? Thanks for your help!

I think the red is a much better and more unique choice. Any thoughts on the screaming chicken or are you deleting it?

      I think I’d do a combo.

      My daily Lexus
      Is red seats. Door panels.
      But dash. Console. Black...

Puke green would be the obvious choice, duh!

I personally hate how red interiors fade. I would go black with accent colors - maybe bring the burgundy into the black as suggested above already. I did black on my '68 Camaro with black carbon fiber, charcoal carbon fiber, silver and stainless steel. I went a little crazy lol. Sky is the limit

Those both look good to me, but I'm thinking everyone above might have something on the combo colors..

Personally, I can't stand RED interiors... but that's just me (to each his own).

If you ever sell the car, it could be an issue.

With an all-black car, I might look into a tan or camel interior color, maybe with black accents.

I would do saddle leather or the black with body color matching stitching

My Impala is black with red interior. I believe it sets the car off and gives the car more personality. You can also see interior details better. I used to love black interiors but they just look plain to me know. Red will fade and is more difficult to match shades and surfaces. If you keep it in the garage fading becomes less of an issue. My car has been done for about 9 years with no noticeable fading.

I like the ideas of 2 tone. Some of the new bmw's and Vette's have this and it looks very sharp.

To me a black car with a lipstick red interior is a big attention grabber but I'd only go that way if; (a) its garaged and not daily driven, and (b) if the outside remains just black. OTH... if you can get somebody to print out a red chicken wrap LOL... that might be pretty tasty! I'd still go black on the carpets and dash though. Not sure which way with the console.

That darker red does make it look really special. Like they said above, maybe tie the two together(my preference would be more red with black accents). I wish I had the opportunity to go down this path with mine.

I like the red! Older build and not quite red but close, judges on the show circuit always gave me positive feedback.

If you are keeping the gold accents have you considered a tan color interior? If the only choice are red and black I would do the black with some accents as others have suggested. Great renderings.

Definitely the red, but make sure you keep it dark instead of bright. I didn't like it when I first found the GTO but I'm glad I picked it, it's different ... I drive 20 cars a day at work and they're all black inside. Ugh.

I know I'm a bit late on this, but...did you consider going two-tone?
I just did this REALLY quickly in MS Paint, as an example.

Using the Red, but the bits I "marked" in black.
If you find the right balance/split that might look quite good.

After thinking about it for a while, I'm liking the Maroon with black stitching. I think to do it lipstick red wouldn't work as well though.

I like Max's idea. I'd probably recommend including the console, pillars, rear package tray, and front dash in black as well.

As far as resale, if you go with the two-tone, the red accents won't detract from the value like a complete red interior would. If anything having the red will help.
