      Looking for Seat Recommendations

Looking to update the seats in my '67 Mustang. Car is currently 100% street driven, but I want something with better bolster support. For those that are familiar with standard OEM mustang seats, they have zero side/lateral support. I will also be switching to a bolt-in 3 or 4-point DOT approved harness.

      Preferred material - Vinyl
      Color - Black
Price range - <$400 per seat

Some options I've found so far:
      Sparco - https://www.sparcousa.com/product/r100
Not sure they have adapter brackets for early Mustangs?

      Cipher Racing - http://cipherauto.com/index.php?rout...&product_id=77

      Corbeau - https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...10pr/overview/

Would like to know if anyone has any of these and can speak to advantages/disadvantages?

Reviving this thread as i'm hoping to pull the trigger on something in the next month or so. Really just looking for a nice street seat with good bolster support, preferably in vinyl.

Scat Procar Elite or Elite Lumbar. Seats are very comfortable and have good bolstering, but the bolsters are not too intrusive as to make ingress/egress a challenge. Also, the Morris 3-point seat belts are very comfortable and way better than lap belts only or fixed, non-retractable shoulder belts.

      The Braum seats look nice.

      I am leaning towards these:

I have a set of leather BMW convertible seats I was saving for a project that has since been sold. These have the integrated three point seat belts and enough switches on them to adjust every portion of the seats you can imagine, including the headrests. They are also heated. Willing to deal if it keeps me from having to move/store them at my soon to be started new home.

Do you have them or know anyone who has them in a first gen camaro? Curious about fit and mounting

There are at least two different outfits that make seat adapter brackets specifically for first gens, one is called Planted and the other I can't remember but it is referred to a lot in posts here about seats. I know the Braum web site has a link to the mount companies.
I have seen them in a Camaro at the Scottsdale Good Guys show. They looked really good.

Yes I have Braum seats in my '68 and I used the Planted brand seat adapters. I sent the seats to my upholsterer to add cancer ribbons to the seat back panels and he was really impressed with the detail and quality of the material and stitching. Said they were the nicest aftermarket seats he has seen to date. I did make my own custom console for my car so I cannot say for sure if they will clear a factory console car. Braum does have all the dimensions you need on their website to make sure you have the clearances that you need. Great company to deal with too! They went out of their way to get me specs that were not available online.

Kinda curious. Are you mounting your shoulder straps to that crossbar right behind the seat? Way too low to be safe, in a roll over straps setup this way will compress your spine.

Not to the floor they way they were draped over but that high bar behind the seat yes. I had a bracket made and welded to the bar.

NHRA spec's say a maximum of 4" below the shoulder and not above. Easy to add another cross bar above the existing one if needed.

I put the seats out of a 2016 Mustang GT in my '68 Camaro and really like them. I think something like that in your Mustang would be kinda neat also. And they're reasonably priced.

The 400/pair Cipher seats are total pieces of ****, imo. I have them and the passenger seat adjuster assembly completely and inexplicably fell to pieces while my 11 year old daughter and I went for a ride. It ripped the ***** fabric, stripped the chinsy plastic gears, and sloughed off on the right so bad that I had to stop and prop it up with a ******* rock. Cipher is making A HUGE MARKUP by sponsoring Youtuber kids who review these turds in a positive light, then selling them to suckers like me. Their limited lifetime warranty is useless for the cheaper seats, as you have to pay freight charges to ship them back to be RMA'd. I'm embarrassed that I fell for the allure of a seemingly good deal. I'm not usually that dumb.
