      68 Chevelle Floor Pan Openings

There are four of these oval openings in the floor pan and a couple in the trunk. What are these for. They were justed gasketted in place and what is everyone doing with them; add new gasket with seam sealer or weld them in place or something else.?

They are put there to help drain the liquids the body is dipped into after the manufacturing process, whether it be a cleaner, etching agent, primer, etc. You'll notice they are located in the lowest parts of the floor pans.

The plugs are simply glued in place with a good quality seam sealer.
