      Looking for 2nd Gen Camaro/Firebird I have 40K cash

I just do not have time to work on projects anymore and want a nice car to drive. I am in the market for a 2nd Gen Camaro or Firebird/TA. Must have LS and air conditioning.
      40K$ cash in hand
      Thanks!

Awesome. I'm in the same boat man, although my budget isn't quite as large as yours.

I hope you find what you're looking for, and I'll tag-along, just to see how things work out.
      Rock on brother.

Have a turbo trans am Pace car (1980) w/LS2 that meets your entry requirements and a whole lot more. Also a 73 Z28 but needs about a week to finish... which I don't have either..

2nd gen went from 70-81, what year bracket are you looking for? Location?

Won’t be too special for 40k. My paint alone was 30k. LS 3 416 with Eforce added 33k. These are are very costly to build.

In his original post, he mentioned that he "wants a nice car to drive", not necessarily a "nice paint job to drive".
With all due respect, I get where he's coming from. He can either spent 40,000 on a new Toyota Camry ("kill me"), or he can drive a cool Gen2 Camaro.
No need to tell him that his car isn't "trailer queen worthy" like yours is, since you've got over 70,000 in paint, engine, and transmission.

I still can't believe that red bird is for sale. I'd sell my black one but its 466 Pontiac with Holley terminator injection and 6 speed. I'm finding I don't have time for one project let alone the 3 I have now, the house, work, and kids sports. Crazy

I sent several pm’s about the red one but never heard anything back.
I’m still looking. Preferably one without a 30K$ paint job.

You should list it for sale before you paint it. Give the buyer a chance to pick the color themselves. Just a thought, because I'd be way more interested in it in a color other than red, and I might not be alone in that...

I actually bid on that one at Mecum in Houston a few weeks ago. I was outbid by the guy (dealer) who is selling it on ebay now. He is asking 13K more than he paid for it.

Same sh*t different day. So tired of these dealers grabbing these cars cheap and trying to turn around and ask 10k+ more for them...
