There are a lot of advantages of using kick panel speakers if you can vent them to the outside. I just switched up my mids to some 8” high efficiency speakers and will try to hide them in the kicks. If you put the speakers in the door, make sure they have good off axis response and make sure you seal up and sound treat the doors.

Kick panels from LLC, with a nice set of 6 1/2" in the kicks and a nice tweeter in the doors ... amazing sound
LLC sub box in the rear with a set of 6x9's and your set

      Cheers

I would definitely go for the kick panel option Steve said. I bought the same ones from The Shop LLC and they are amazing! Plus it sure is a heck of a lot easier wiring to the kick panel than through the door.

You get better sound to your ears with the kick panel location because they're kind of pointed towards the driver and passengers head from the opposite sides.
My truck has a nice system with doors and kicks identical separate 6.5"/ tweeter speaker setup, I've ran them both separately and you can definitely hear the kick location better due to the angle.

Tweeters up high though... Ive had good results with them in the upper forward corner of the door panels
