      Ridetech Compressor Electrical Connector

      Hi,

Hopefully ridetech reps chime in. What type of connector is used for the compressor. Upgraded from an E2 to an E3 and finally getting around to wiring the system up. The old E2 used a relay to power the compressor (so no connector) and the new E3 provides a ground (with unrecognizable connector) only for the compressor. I'd like to get the both the female and male housings and pins. Also can, the fuses be substituted with circuit breakers instead? Thanks in advance.

Hi Britt. You wouldn't by chance be able to sell some would you? The terminals are coming up obsolete and/or having to buy a minimum quantity of 100 or 2500.

Unfortunately we don't typically have many connectors or terminals on hand as we don't build the harnesses in-house. So we may have some in the warranty department for repairs, but I'd have to check how many we have.

      Here's the Molex page:

You can browse the terminals for alternative part numbers. They offer them gold, silver and tin plated, so there are some options.

      Digikey has everything individually:

      compressor side. . .
      connector: 0428180212

      terminal: 428171014

      wire harness side. . .
      connector: 0428160212
      https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=0428160212

      terminal: 0428150114 (silver plated)

      Hope this helps.

Also, you can use circuit breakers on the compressors if you so choose.

Thanks Britt. That helps. Initially when I looked at Digikey, it was only displaying cut strips.
