      C6 ZO6 brakes on a 9 inch floater

I pretty much said what my plan is going to be in the title.
I will be adapting this combination to my upcoming build that I am currently acquiring parts for.
In order to save myself a lot of engineering and grief, I am asking for help from anyone who has gone through this already.
C5 or C6, I imagine the basics are not appreciably different.
SOOO who out there has done this already and can help us out. I did try the search feature already.

I have also posted this at lateral g.

Check out this site. It seems to be a one man operation. I emailed him some time ago and never got a response but the brackets are for the 9" are interesting.

When I was moving to my 9 inch I had hoped to keep my C6 rears, but every bracket option was $$, and if I wanted to keep my parking brake it was even more as Kore3 had the only really good option. Turned out to be cheaper just to get the whole wilwood kit (not floaters though), and it is zero grief. C5 and C6 rear brakes are nothing special, so if you want factory parts and no grief then the gen 1 version of the ford kit is another option https://www.ebay.com/itm/9-Ford-11-R...xVMziy&vxp=mtr. Doesn't directly answer your question, but options are options.

Kind of a step down from 14 inch brakes. LOL!

I did C6 z06 calipers on my Moser floater using brackets from the GMR when they were around. I know of another member here that used the same brackets. I don't know anyone else that makes them now.

True, but is that what the OP brought up?

OP, is this for a floater housing?

This is a good picture with a lot of detail. I should be able to glean some ideas from that

I'll see if I can find some close up pics of the brackets. I had to special order my rotors from Coleman racing because the ones that are the same diameter and with were the wrong bolt count for the rotor adapter

Do you have any more detailed pictures of this setup?

Not sure if it is relevant but have you looked at Millerbuilt?

Miller Built is great stuff. I have a couple of weld in setups in service and they have been trouble free......and maintenance free. One of them replaced a full floater that I was tired of working on.

I have a pair of GMR C5/6 brackets on the wall.....50 bucks shipped. I'm pretty sure they are for 13" rotors.

OP... If you already have the floater, buy the brackets from Donny. If you have a stock housing and were looking to buy a floater, look at the Millerbuilt stuff. Had his stuff been around when I got mine, this is the route I would have taken.

csouth, I see that you used an adapter from the rotor to the stock car hubs rotor adaptor. With the way you spaced the rotors inboard does this allow you to use regular (Non ZO6) wheels?
I am not sure that there are any ideas that I can use completely, but there are a lot of small ideas that I can choose from to make this work. I am bound and determined to make the stock e-brakes work just like they are supposed to. If more people keep providing ideas I will come up with a plan that will work. The first project for the car when all the goodies arrive is the rear end and the rear brakes, so I can cross post that to this forum as well as the builds forum.
If anyone even finds a picture that they can share it will make this easier.

No need to bow down... I just read the title before I even read the thread. The only reason I came here was because of the topic since I have a floater with z06 brakes...
