      Should I sell it?

Hi all. Curious what your thoughts are on me selling my old 12 bolt. I replaced it with a full floater.

It is an original 12 bolt from a 69 Camaro, Housing 3894860NF, axle code BU1214G2. Which translates to a 3.73 Posi with an Eaton originally.

However I did weld tabs onto it for my ridetech 4-link and rebuilt it with 4:10's. So it is not original anymore.

My question is would someone looking for an original 12-bolt for a restoration be interested in it. Or does the fact I have welded tabs on it make it no longer desirable for a restoration?

      Wonder what you think.

      Cheers, Brew

Post it over on Camaros.net. They are more into original parts. Tabs should not make a difference.

If u figure out a price I'd possibly be interested because the tabs have already been welded on it. So u wouldn't feel bad about messing with a stock 12 bolt. That thing is perfectly date for my car also. Totally interested depending on price. Let me know.

What would you do if you don't sell it, save it for the next project.

      I would sell it.

Your rear end cradle is brilliant.
I need to buy some angle and fire up my welder.

Hey Ken, I made it with my daughter. She did half the welds (the better one's I think). I do most of the work myself so I needed a good way to position the rear end to set up the tabs for the 4-link. It worked very well as I used the threaded rod on the pinion end to adjust the angle. It really saved a bunch of time too. Here are some close ups of the rig. It has a locating pin on the bottom that mates with the old jack I used for positioning it.

Your daughter! How cool is that? I taught my daughter a lot about cars, but never welding. Well done!

Thanks for the extra pics, and hats off to your daughter.
