      Pro-Touring F-Body Built Subframe

Selling my PTFB built subframe. This not a cobbled up frame I or someone else did at home. This one was completely stripped and set up on a chassis bench. We started with a Trans Am WS6 subframe, had it blasted and then did all the work. Stock spring mounts were cut out and the new adjustable coilover were installed. All work done in the shop at Pro-Touring F-Body by the owner Dave.

      -PTFB 2-position adjustable coilover mounts
      -Viking double adjustable coilovers
-PTFB upper control arms with the upgraded Proforged tall ball joints
-PTFB lower control arms built specifically for coilovers
-Big bearing 79-81 spindles which are set up for big brake kits (brakes not included)
-Lab-14 sway bar reinforcement plates welded on
-Lab-14 body mount reinforcements welded on
-Lab-14 upper control arm reinforcements (sold)

      $2000

I will post pics and more information soon. Only selling because I’m going back to school to pursue my masters degree and had some expensive repairs come up on my daily driver. Please feel free to ask any questions.

      Jon

Sorry for delay on pictures. My next day off between both of my jobs is this upcoming Sunday.

I also forgot to mention that I will include a PTFB sway bar brace in this deal.

This frame will work on 75-81 F-Body (Camaro or Firebird).

Yes, in Chicago area as TPIchevy mentioned. Sorry for not providing that. I responded to him on Facebook and another forum.

Ok, I have a few pictures of the upper control arms still wrapped as new. As mentioned before, they come with the upgraded tall Proforged ball joints. I forgot to mention earlier but I will also be including Lab-14 upper control arm supports as pictured below. Everything is still new in the package.

Below is the one of the lower control arms and sway bar reinforcement bar. The control arm is a new design but this is not a standard production control arm from PTFB. The set I have here is built specifically for a coilover using special tubing that is used in Nascar and other forms of circle track racing. Adjustable steering stops are built in to allow for up to a 315 wide tire up front. Proforged lower ball joint and greaseable delrin bushings are used. A cool feature about these control arms is that the opening also allows you to install or remove the coilover assembly without unbolting the spindle.

Below are not my pictures but they are product pictures from PTFB showing their new coilover mounts. This is the exact setup I have on my frame. It is different than other pro-touring suspension manufactures in that it allows you to adjust ride height by moving the position of the coilover rather than over-compressing or over-extending the shock. It's basically a two-position pin. Fine tuning of ride height can, however, still be done by adjusting the coilover itself. The coilover can also be ran upside-down so that adjustment knobs can be tuned from the engine bay. A cool additional feature is that this setup reinforces the upper control arm mounts.

Ok, thanks to Tpichevy purchasing the Lab-14 upper control arm supports, the price of this setup has dropped.

      $1900 is the new price.

Been thinking about this ad some more and what would be easiest for myself and others who are interested in this setup. I'll make another option for everyone here. Since shipping is a big hurdle for the frame and certain people will need a different spring rate than what I have, I will offer the upper and lower control arms at $800.

Standard price on these control arms is over $1,000 from PTFB so that's a good few hundred dollars off direct pricing.

The entire setup is still available at $1,900 if anyone wants to get the complete deal though.
