      AN Radiator Hose Size

I'm looking at running custom radiator hoses on my BBC 68 Camaro. Trying to find the correct sizes and from what I've found is -20an for upper radiator hose, and -24an for lower radiator hose, is this correct? I will be welding on the bungs onto the radiator, water pump, and thermostat housing. I might leave the bottom hose alone since you don't really see it.

      Thanks in advance.

-20 is 20/16" or 1 1/4" and your -24 is 1 1/2" so you need to upsize for a big block.

I don't recommend the AN hoses for radiators as the hose is pretty stiff and that can be hard on an aluminum radiator.

Would 1.50 for upper and 1.75 lower be the correct size? Everyone sell the hoses but they don’t list the size.

Should be. I have come across big block pumps that were 1 7/8".

Do you not have a way to measure it?

I have -20 AN fittings on my bed mounted heat exchanger.
I bought the fittings and hoses from ebay. All Nascar takeoffs and cheap.
