I am selling my 72 Barracuda. The car still has its original numbers matching 340 but that's about the only thing original left on the car other than the body so this might not be the best car for a Mopar purist, but if you want a car that's fun to drive, handles great, and you can hop in and take it anywhere... here it is! I put this car together in 2016 for something fun on the Hot Rod PowerTour. It was a long hauler for 2016 and 2017 and did great, no issues at all. I have put almost 8,000 miles on the car since it was finished in 2016.

The car was in California for the majority of its life, it is the most solid E body that I have ever owned. The paint is about 10 years old and was painted before I bought it, it shows pretty well and I consider it good driver quality. It does have some small chips and scratches and a couple spots where the paint is not perfect but it looks good up close still.

The engine is the original numbers matching 340 with a forged crank, the previous owner had the engine rebuilt with 10.5:1 compression, a Racer Brown Cam, crane Adjustable Gold roller rockers, ARP Bolts, Weiand Intake, and a set of TTI ceramic coated headers. I added a Milodon road race oil pan, Professional Products Powerjection III fuel injection throttle body, MSD Digital 6al.

The transmission is a 4L60E from Keisler/Silver Sport Transmissions. It is all electronic with a lockup converter and a 2500 stall. It also comes with a small laptop with the software to tune the Transmission and Fuel injection. There is a cooler for the transmission mounted in front of the radiator and it does a good job keeping trans temps low on long road trips.

The rear end is a 8 3/4 with a 3.23 Sure-grip and a ridetech triangulated 4 link with Fox adjustable coil overs, it handles great and the 3.23s combined with the 4l60e put 70mph just over 2000 rpm

100% of the wiring was replaced, I started with an American Auto Wire classic update ebody kit using relays and mini fuses. All connections are crimped and soldered and the harness is wrapped in Painless Powerbraid. The alternator is a 1 wire Powermaster, and the battery is an optima red top. The harness also includes connections for more accessories like power windows, power door locks, in case you want to add those later. The dome and interior lights are LED, and so are the tail lights.

All of the Suspension and steering components were put in new in 2016. QA1 Tubular K member, QA1 tubular lower control arms, QA1 strut rods, QA1 Double Adjustable Stocker star shocks, Hotchkiss tubular upper control arms, Hotchkiss Torsion Bars, Hotchkiss Steering links, Hotchkiss sway bar, Moog lower ball joints, pitman arm, and idler arm. The steering is a fast ratio Borgeson box connected to a Flaming River tilt column and leather wrapped Tuff Wheel. The rear suspension is a ridetech triangulated 4 link with single adjustable Fox shocks and Hyperco springs. The wheels are Boss 338s, the tires are Hankook Evo2 and have about 2,000 miles on them. The brakes are from Dr Diff, 13" front drilled/slotted rotors with Ford Cobra calipers and the rear are 11.75" Drilled/Slotted rotors with Cobra calipers also.

The fuel system is a Tanks Inc tank with an in tank 255 Walbro fuel pump.

Cooling is an Aluminum radiator with a Be Cool shroud with 2 spal fans and a temperature controller

The interior has been fully covered with Dynamat. The seats were custom covered by Arch Classic interiors locally, they are comfy! The driver seat adjust up and down and both seats recline and fold forward. The seats have been lowered and moved back to make it comfortable for tall drivers (I'm 6'5" and fit in here with a helmet on) the steering column is a Flaming River tilt column, the gauges are all New Vintage USA Redline series with stepper motors, the speedometer is driven by the transmission TCU and easy to adjust for things like gear/tire changes with the laptop. it has Vintage Air heat/AC defrost, it all works great!

I'm asking $sold The car is in Dittmer, MO about 30 miles southwest of St Louis. I'm sure there is more that I am missing, if you have any questions you can call/text, message me. Jason (three one for)323-1157 leave a message if I don't answer sometimes I don't have a signal at work or in my garage.

      Thanks!
      Jason Benson

Sorry, it sold. The only reason I was selling it was to finish another project. Thanks.
