trunk mounted battery question on GM purple wire

To the guys who installed your battery in the trunk... Did you use a Ford type solenoid as well ?? If yes, Did you connect the purple wire from the ignition switch AND a new wire from the Ford type solenoid to the "S" terminal on the starter ?? In simple terms, do you have 2 wires on the "S" terminal of the starter ???

The purple ignition wire goes to the Ford solenoid. You will need to make a small jumper wire on the starter from the battery terminal to the start terminal
      Big dreams, small pockets....

Thank you for the reply. NO jumper wire for an LS swap. The jumper wire causes "Run On".

As in the starter remains engaged after you release the key? Mine has a jumper and when I let the key go the starter stops spinning....

Some people apparently have experienced run-on presumably because when using a magnetic type starter the starter cranking can induce voltage through the jumper wire after key is off and starter is still spinning for a brief amount of time. I don't think it is limited to LS platforms unless they predominately use mag starters? There have been posts re this before but I didn't go looking for them. Mine is wired as OP has his. If no run-on use the jumper.
