New Guy Here! 65 Buick Skylark Build Inbound

      Hello everybody,

My name is Drake and I am about to pick up a 1965 Buick Skylark that has seen some work already.

Current mods include a high comp/mild cam 355 swap, th350, new interior, some audio, and a custom dash with all new gauges. I will give a more complete list of the current status in my build thread at a later time.

I'm a 25 year old engineer who started the car journey in the world of tuning Hondas. Now I am looking to build a solid 60s daily driver. The mods to come include a complete suspension overhaul, c6 corvette brakes, a steering upgrade, and much much more over time. Can't wait to get started and learn a lot from you guys.

      -Drake

Welcome aboard Drake! Cool Skylark you have there, good looking year. Look forward to the progression! And we all got our start somewhere. My first vehicle that got me through a few years at ASU for Engineering was a minitruck, 87 S-10 Blazer, though done up more hotrod style. Still got it actually.

      haha Awesome!

Well the Buick is now mine. 77 miles at 65-80mph and she didn't flinch.

I will start a progression thread soon. Teaser pic.

Cool to see another couple of Buicks. My 66 is going in to my shop next. Finishing up the ignition swap on the Camaro this week and have to move the dart over just a bit for room. It'll be inside for the Christmas break because I'd like it's maiden pro-touring voyage to be power tour!
