How much total freon to add?

68 Camaro, Vintage Air set up with through firewall aluminum bulk head fittings and through fender well extended hoses. Stock system calls for 1.8 lbs of freon and the question is how much more freon should i add to compensate for extedned length of fender well routed hoses?

None. 1.8 pounds is all you need. With a trunk mounted unit you need to add more refrigerant but for just a couple of feet of hose you are good with the stock spec.

Yeah, you're supposed to get ~15-20 psi on the low side and about 175 on the high side... (high side rule of thumb is 2X ambient temperature (in °F) + 15-20%.

If you're getting that, no need to add anything.
