5th Gen Console with Parking brake in 1st Gen Camaro

      Hello,
I know its not uncommon for people to put 2010+ Camaro consoles in 1st Gen Camaro's, but has anyone gotten the parking brake system integrated as well? If so, what did it take to make it happen. Thanks

      Cheers,
      Shane

The handle, a place to mount it and a set of universal or Explorer Lokar brake cables.

I guess my main concern is how it mounts to the stock trans tunnel, I didn't want to but the parking brake assembly without finding out what modifications I would have to do first. Especially when I have only seen 1 or 2 actually have the 2010+ parking brake installed. Thanks for the info

      Cheers,

It has two holes in the base that slide over bolts sticking up from the floor. Some pics starting at post 588 here https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...rtible-30.html

From the pics, looks like they use the 5th Gen Camaro trans tunnel as well.

i have one in my car, with the handle and the 67 tunnel. I just welded a bracket to the tunnel to mount it.. no big deal. I made the mounts for the console and got it where I wanted it then made the one for the handle. I havnt bought cables yet, but about any universal kit would work. I liked the look of the handle filling the hole in the console instead of making a cover..

I did. Cut my old tunnel out and welded the 5th gen in. Made room for the T56 and fits the console, so two birds with one stone.
