      62 Falcon

Hey everyone, just want to put another falcon on here. I love all the builds on here, tips and ideas.
I ended up getting rid of my Cummins powered 32 Chevy sedan for this little falcon.
Built brand new .60 over 302, rebuilt T5, Heidt mustang 2 front end, custom 4-link rear, 9" rearend, 4.56 gears, fuel safe, msd ignition and so on.

Well I can't get the pictures to load.

Right now she is getting worked over some more. The entire guts and pitiful unibody are gone. Plated the rockers and put an actual crossmember to replace the torque box. Full frame rails from the firewall to the bumper. The rails are also narrowed for big meats. Also to accommodate the big rear tires, the fenders will be split and punched out an inch or so and worked front to back to look right. Then it will be time sheetmetal floor and throughout the trunk and to finish the electric, then ready to cruise.

Stoked to see another falcon on here. Try using Imgur to upload the images, and use an embedded link, also select large thumbnail when uploading should help with the photos. What kind of wheel and tire specs do you plan to run?

However long you think your project will take, double it and you might be halfway right.

Thanks guys. Everything is finally welded. Need to stretch my wheelwel 1.5" then put the rearend and rear suspension back in. Then she will be ready for sheetmetal. Now for the cool stuff.

Well the I didn't have much room for the rears, so decided the rear rails needed to be narrowed.

The 4-link was a bolt on and actually crushed the rails of the unibody, then decide to put subframe connectors in. Then as with all projects it took a turn for the worse...or better. Everything got cut out and is now built correctly.

      Terrible flimsy front subframe

Subframe cut and 2x2 connectors going in.

      Front crossmember/transmission mount

The mufflers will be tight but monted with L-bracket that has a small piece of rubber. There is not very much room since it will be so low. The rear pipes will come through the rear crossmember with the lowest part of the driveshaft loop being the lowest point.

Plates made for where crossmembers attache to the rockers

Ok now that's better and hopefully worth looking at. Now the rear wheelwel will be stretched and the rearend and suspension put back in. Then sheet metal wil he started and the fuel cell will be put in. Seats and electric and she'll be goin'
