Colorado Folks..... thinking of a Visit to the state

Hey Colorado folks, kicking around the idea of driving out for a week to your state. Looking for input, suggestions in general. Hidden gems? Out of the way places? Drives? I have a few places marked down and been doing a little research but looking to hear some direct input.

My Wife was just there visiting an old high school friend from 30yrs ago,
She said If you're a pot smoker, there are many places and even drive up windows you can stop at,lol.

Get off Interstate 25 at Walsenberg,CO. From there, take Hwy 160 through Pagosa Springs and over Wolf Creek Pass, to Durango. From there, follow Hwy 550 (Million Dollar Hwy) up through Ouray and Silverton.
Another nice place to visit is Rocky Mtn National Park, outside Estes Park.

If you get to Durango you have to take a ride on the Durango and Silverton Railroad. You also need to check out Pikes Peak home of the hill climb outside Colorado Springs.

When are you coming out, where are you coming from, what kind of things do you like to do? The state is huge and you can blow an entire day just driving somewhere and weather is always a factor, even in summer.
