Swapping out motors in my 1968 Impala

I have a frame off restored 68 Impala which now has a small block 400. I am planning to swap the 400 with a 'brand new' 454. I am looking for tips or advise from anyone willing to share their knowledge or experiences.

Just a simple engine swap. Though swapping a small block for a heavy 454 goes against most of what most builds/experiences are on this particular forum.

Should be a straight shot. I just did it on my 69. 350 => 454.

Be prepared to change out or get the correct oil pan and sump pickup. They are not universal.

Thank you for your response. Another concern would be motor mounts and brackets for power steering etc.

Motor mounts should be the same...but I would check if there is a difference between SBC and BBC frame stands. Alan Groves has nice, simple and sturdy accessory mount options.
