WTB: Spectre front air dam for 1970 GM A-body

Looking to buy a Spectre front air dam, for my 1970 El Camino. These have been discontinued but maybe I can find one, for sale.

I've been looking as well. I have a spoiler by Randy and it's not even close (plus I don't feel they are a very good value these days). Closest thing appears to be the glasstek version

I'm kind of in the same quandary as you,Chuck. I do like Randy's P-T II spoiler for my 70 but $400 + shipping is keeping me from pulling the trigger. Glasstek's spoiler looks pretty good and $280 + shipping isn't too bad. I would prefer it in ABS, instead of fiberglass, though. It also doesn't seem to follow the lines of the bumper as well as I would like. Another option is the abs Buick GSX front spoiler at around $180. Pretty sure those will fit with a little massaging. Just wish I could see a photo of one, on a 70-72. Last but certainly not least is the 69 Camaro front air dam. It needs some bracketry work so it will bolt up to the center of the bumper but at $40, the price is right and even though I wish they were wider for an A-body, they still look pretty decent.

What's the problem with your spoiler that you got from Randy? Which one is it?

I have the first version of Randy's pro-touring spoiler. No problems with it, the quality is fine and I like how it directs air up to the radiator (every little bit counts in Atlanta summer traffic, though I'm not sure how ideal its shape is at higher speeds). Whether or not it affects the air pressure under the I cannot say, though I given the gauge of the metal I doubt it capable of doing much, which is fine. I bought it before I had a welder, but now I'm positive I could make something just like it myself, which I might do.
Regardless, either way I'm selling it when I get back home and most likely going with the glasstek, the assumption being that between them and Mr Lutz someone has at least considered the aerodynamics of it. I lack access to a wind tunnel and my knowledge of fluid dynamics might generously be described as basic. If you are 100% going for looks then the SbR one is great. I'm 75% looks, 20% function and 5% just tired of having the same thing for a few years.

I asked Spectre if they were going to make it again, maybe if others do as well they will change their minds. This was the reply

That was the same reply I got from Spectre, earlier this year. I ordered a standard spoiler from Randy, a few weeks ago.
Would be interested in a group buy if someone can make it happen but I doubt they would be interested.

I've emailed them again and asked on their facebook page. Either way, if Spectre is just going to have it pumped out overseas I'm going to stick with Glasstek.
