Detroit Speed Front Sub Frame and 'Their' 060414 Engine Mount

      Hi,

I recently ordered a powder coated front sub frame from Detroit Speed. A Mast Engine 427 (Ls7) will be going in the car. In order to mock up the tunnel and pull measurements for my 2nd gen T/A (for the Motor and T56) I'd like to mount an Ls1 in the engine bay temporarily and the T56 that's going in the car.

D.S.E.'s frame specifies to use their 060414 engine mount for both the entire Ls engine series line up so there is no difference between the Ls1 and Ls7 in that regard.

My question in...for anyone with a D.S.E. front sub frame...is their any difference between D.S.E.'s engine mount 060414 versus the engine mount coming out of...let's say a 2002 Ls1 Camaro?

I'd like to know before I place the order for the D.S.E. mounts. I also know I can simply call D.S.E. and they'd fix my wagon (great bunch of guys).

Just curious if anyone knows the answer before I place the call.

Edit: Question answered. You do indeed need to buy D.S.E.'s mount. There is no alternative. Order placed. You can delete the tread if you want!

      Thanks,
      Andrew
