Looking great! I like the stance. there is a guy on YouTube building one of these Fords, keeping the Vic chassis and wiring stuff. He has a lot of helpful info. His channel is called River City.

Thanks. I've checked out a few of his videos, it seems to be a fairly popular swap right now and there are quite a few doing it. Everyone around here has never seen it done and thinks it's pretty crazy but I've been lucky enough to have a lot of good info on the forums to help me with the swap and make it much easier.

So life has gotten busy and I haven't had a chance to work much on the truck, hopefully will be starting up again soon!

I did however make it in Roadkill magazine so that's kind of cool!

Is there a way to rotate attached pictures? I used photobucket for the previous pictures but now that it's dead I have to attach them and the last one showed up sideways

So I got a little more time to work on the truck. Did a bit of wiring and used some led trailer lights to make some custom led turn signals.

So I haven't had much time with a 1 year old and my wife working opposite shifts of me. I got a day today though so I made the best of it.

I made some extended frame rails so I could mount the front bumper. I added the front end mounts to the frame extensions as well, as you can see I used Canadian body mounts. Ended up having a little extra time so I modifiers the lower rad support to work with the new lower frame rails.

      Adam_T,

Could you measure from outside to outside of your rear tires as they are mounted... And then from inside to inside of the wheel well lip on your bed?

      If not no big deal!

So I took some quicķ measurements for you, wheel to wheel measures approximately 77". They are mustang performance package 19's with 275's on them. They are fairly close to the rear shock couldn't go with too much more offset. The width of the bed lip to lip is 74.5". So a little massaging to make them fit but not terrible. I plan to bulge the rear fenders just a bit like the prerunner guys do.

Got some extra time to work on truck so a bit of an update. Lower rad support is mounted. Patched the cab into the firewall in the front corners. Rolled in the front fender lips. And finally got the front clip put back on. You can see in the one picture how much further back my bumper mounts are compared to stock, tucks it in nicely.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. It's not easy but it's nothing to be scared of as well. Through this project I'm learning you don't need a million dollars and the latest greatest tools, just time(which I don't have a lot of) and the want to learn.

Progress is going to be slow for a while I have a backyard that needs landscaping. But i did have it out to turn it around to start working on mounting gas tank so figured I'd snap some pics.

So tackled the steering issue. At first I couldn't turn the wheels at all. Then with some fender stretching and lip rolling I could turn a bit but still not enough. So I bent out the bottom lip. I think it doesn't look too bad and I can now turn those big tires lock to lock.

Your truck is looking great. Love the color combination and the patina. How did you roll the fenders?

Thanks and yes that's why I chose this truck, love the look as is.

I rolled the fenders using phone books and a prying tool I made out of a couple scrap pieces of 2x4. It's not perfect but matches the truck since the whole things a bit beat up.

Do you happen to have pictures of the rearward portion of the front fender lips you rolled/stretched?
