Newer oem seats in an A Body question.

Suggestions on factory seats from newer model cars such as gto, camaro, vette, g8, etc. Might want to run some different front seats on my 71 chevelle, don't want the seats to sit to high inside

I am running the 2005 Pontiac GTO seats in my 1965 Buick Skylark. I made my own brackets to keep the seats low to the floor. I love them. I believe they are 8 way seats including lumbar. I had them recovered to match the 1965 Skylark upholstery style.

They look badass, I'm curious on how you made your brackets

Most seats mentioned in any of the threads about this should fit fine, there are only so many good options. I'm using BMW fronts and GTO rears.

Oh forgot to mention I will be cutting the rears down and possibly removing the front headrest.... That will be decided when I see how low I can get the seat to the base and possibly lower the floor under it

2000 and up Pontiac Grand Prix GT seats fit really well. The rear bottom seat will need some modifications to the foam but not too hard to do. I put them in my 72 and am in the process of reupholstering them now.

I went with Lexus SC 300/400 in my 65 Chevelle convertible. I have 04-06 GTO seats in my '55 Chevy project. I removed the headrests on the Lexus seats and still need to fabricate brackets and remove the headrests on the GTO seats.
