      Dakota Digital vs Speedhut

I've been looking at gauges kits for my '79 Trans Am. I'm curious to see what this forum prefers.

      Which do you prefer?
Personally I think digital gauges look like something out of a redneck 80's Camaro, but of course my opinion is completely worthless.

I absolutely love my VHX series kit that I've got. The install was great and works perfectly.

VHX all the way. I'm not a fan of the earlier DD all digital dashes, but the later stuff looks great and works even better.

I love the VHX ones i have had for almost 3 years. I will be installing the new HDX ones in the next couple of weeks though Like Analyte says, installation is easy. Both are nice setups though.

I liked the VHX guages, but I did have problems with the control unit going bad. They replaced it under warranty twice, but it is a bit of a pain to keep taking it in and out....

Does anyone know if Dakota Digital is coming out with an HDX kit for 70-81 Firebird anytime soon?

I contacted Dakota and found that they're looking to do a few other vehicles prior to the 2nd gen F-Body so it might be a year or more before anything is released.
