I was all ready to pull the trigger on these but I wanted separates; two big gauges (speedo & tach) and four 2-1/16" gauges. They'll be out maybe next year. I'll probably go with New Vintage. But the HDX stuff looks sweet. Please share your install.

Size: 93.7 KBI was finally able to get them in my car. I was changing from their VHX gauges to the HDX ones. Pretty easy installation and didn't have any issues (other than me not reading the instructions at times ;-)). You can change the gauge backlighting and needles to a rainbow of different colors. You can also have different colors when you turn the lights on. Pretty cool pieces!

Any issues with the needles being a little "jumpy?" I put HDX gauges in my '69 camaro, and on the first trip out I noticed the speedo needle operation wasn't as smooth as I expected. Dakota Digital tech support said the needles have two sweep speeds and I was going "just" fast enough for it to switch between the two.

Wondering if anyone else is seeing the same behavior.

Those gauges are sweet. They address a lot of the short falls that I see with the VHX guages.

Did you get to drive it this weekend? How was the needle movement?

AU Doc, yes I did drive it this weekend. I did have a slight mph needle flux (2-3 mph)while driving at highway speed. I only noticed it if I looked at them. I set mine up to have the digital MPH # below the tach while cruising. Less things to have to concentrate on LOL. What are you using for your input for the VSS. I am using the OBD BIM module for everything but can't use it for the VSS (my tune wheel/tire/gear ratio are incorrect). I ended up just using the VSS output wire from the PCM and did the measured mile procedure. I never adjusted the sensitivity setting from the default one so I will change it and see if it stabilizes. Did you change your setting? Did it help?

Rickpaw/Josh, yeah I have had the VHX ones for a couple of years before these and I think they are great. These new ones do address some of the things i didn't like about the VHXs. I like the larger LCD displays and the warning lights for each gauge are in the gauge display (small red light). The black buttons that you toggled on the VHX are now on the gauges. With the new LCD displays, there are 4 modes you can display different readings and scroll through them with just a button push. Overall I am glad I upgraded. I sold my old ones to another Camaro buddy in town who likes them. Win, win for both of us!
