I'm looking into the same size wheels.

      But I'm considering
      a 235 or 245 x 35 or 40 x18 Front
      and 275x40/35x18 Rear

Still need to do some measuring after I bolt on the rear shocks and plates.

68 camaro 3" hotchkis drop front and back.

      I have a 67 with the following

      18x8 245 40 18
      18x9.5 275 35 18

This is with a 3 inch drop rear and coilover front.

this is what i am running on my 67. i have the hotchkis lowering kit on the car, with QA1 control arms. 2'' up front, 1.5'' in the rear. i also have wilwood disc brakes up front. not sure on the brakes exactly, but, none of the other components should change any of the offsets/geometry on the car. i have no issues at all with rubbing on the frame, fender or quarters.

If you don't plan on lowering the car, you might want to go to a 45 series tire.
With a 40 series you will have a lot of wheel well gap.

You need to know the width of the tire. All manufactures differ, a 275/35/18 from 3 different companys will be 3 different widths.
Use tirerack as a resource for tire size. They measure the tread width of each tire and post it in the specs section.
      For instance this 265/35 18 RE-Z1r is 9.7" wide. Thats a big ass 265!

Ideally you'd want the tire to be +/- a half inch in relation to the rim width.

Who made your wheels? How much backset on the front set up? Love the look of the old Rallye's.
