Love it, we are getting ready to build a longbed 66 chevy of my dads, plans are 5.3 and some suspension upgrades, mostly just a driver though no plans to track it. I will be interested to see how the ridetech stuff performs. What kind of ground clearance did you end up with?
72 Nova SS, on the back burner for now.

'70 Impala 4drht, 26K original miles, 2" drop springs and large swaybars, drives pretty good for a land yahct in the middle of an ls1 swap, but thinking about changing directions to a duramax diesel swap.

Awesome, I know the ridetech stuff works from experience with other trucks with the same kit. I will have triple adjustable shocks and a nascar front swaybar to help it. These trucks need a ton of swaybar. Clearance wise there is about 3.5" at the lowest point. The lowest spot is at the control arm under the coilover. The 315's fit fine in the front with a different swaybar.

Columbus was a huge success for the truck, brought home the truck class win. Can't say enough good things about the ridetech and No Limit parts on this truck. Rob gave me some alignment suggestions that made a huge difference. Now it's time to actually dyno tune it and get a couple street miles on it

Thanks, it's been a lot of fun to build. It drives better than I expected and is so different than my Camaro on an autocross course. Hopefully I can continue to make it faster with some upgrades to the rear suspension.

Can you give some specs on that front suspension? Specifically what drop spindle and brakes. Thanks

      66 GMC Build

It's the ridetech stage 3 coilover conversion with CPP modular spindles and C6 Z06 Corvette brakes front and rear. If you have any more questions PM me

I'm in the middle of building a 66 GMC long bed. This thread is awesome! I just reached out to NoLimit as well to see what my options are on the rear suspension, as I am currently leaf-springs and would like to change it up.

Thanks! Rob is great to deal with, he has a couple different rear suspension options. Any input he gives you will be good. He knows these trucks and performance very well.

beautiful build. what you did is similar to what I am planning for my '65 stepside chevy. I love the dash, I think that I may try to build my dash with carbon fibre. I will be using guages though. Where did you get your steering column? did you keep the key on the dash, or move it to the column?

Thanks! Sorry, don't check this often anymore. The column came from summit racing. Key is still in the factory location.

Have you ever put it on a set of scales.

I am currently involved with a short fleet 65 GMC build that will be more hot rod then track tool, however my personal 65 build is pending and it will be a pure track build. Will be moving my engine back 14 inches and moving the radiator to the tailgate and several other mods to get as close as possible to a 50/50 weight distribution.

It's almost 3,400 lbs without a bed floor, heat, A/C or driver. The 4L70E is really heavy too. Still has all steel parts and fully functioning glass. They can be much lighter but I didn't want to strip it down completely and spend all the money for fiberglass parts.

I've thought about stripping it down and changing some things to make it faster but Goodguys rules change will make it next to impossible to compete with a truck wheelbase. It works very well and won the truck class easily again this year in Columbus but will never compete with a vette or fast car on those courses
