There's a channel on YouTube called DD Speed Shop. He's building a rusty Model T and has a "forumla" to promote rust that works pretty well from the videos he's posted.

      Oh, awesome build btw!
That's pretty cool, I like the look of that! I'm sure it would piss off so many "enthusiasts", and I like that even more...haha

      Thanks!

Scored some timber today that I'll be using for the tray/bed. It's had a fair chew on it by some termites which I've sprayed prior to the photo which is why they're a little damp. I'll give it a few treatments to kill of any hiding ones. But the boards are solid, weathered and have a heap of feature which is what I was after. They should fit in well with the rest of the truck at looking like crap. haha

Wow, the last lot of weeks have disappeared.

I've finished making the fan shroud to hold the OEM RS6 fans. I wanted to use these fans so that they were plug and play with the original wiring and ECU.

I will paint this later once I know it no longer needs any changes. But now this gives me the height I needed to know to start fabbing the tray/bed frame.

I still need to mount the A/C condenser on the underside of the radiator but I can't start that until I get the plumbing to it and the radiator sorted. I'll do all of that on the hoist/lift from the underside.

You should cut out square holes in the blank spot above the little fan and put those rubber shroud flaps on. Lots of places sell them, but here is a link of what I'm talking about.

      Good call. Cheers!
The Audi already had such a thing fitted. So I'll install that here.

Neither of those should be upside down, but that's the way they want to upload.

Well...it's only been 6 months since my last post. That feels like it went in the blink of an eye!

It's starting to take more shape. Lots of little stuff sorted out in the rear end now and nearly done with the tray. The corners will have a radius and the blue paint sanded back to bare steel and left like that. I have some tie down points to recess into the timber once I work out where they need to be best located for the motorbike. There's also a trap door at the front centre to access the radiator.

Awesome progress! The little flaps on the radiator shroud are an excellent idea.

To be honest I got a little sidetracked with another project. I picked up this damaged Ducati ST4.

It quickly turned into a fun cafe racer build and a great distraction from some life stuff. It's now finished. I hand made all the rear tail from steel, rewired everything to relocate the electrics and repaired and painted the tank as it had been crashed from a Ducati 749. It's tiny, it's extremely loud, turns a lot of heads and is so much fun to ride!
