We have had 3 more events over the last 3 months and one more event coming before the finish of the season here in San Diego. We have had some really good courses the last events!!! For me personally if I can really floor the car during a run its a good course and I have been able to in these events.

So in september, we had what I think Was the smallest showing with 6 competitors. I believe their was a few other events going on that a few of our regulars went to.
heres some pics of the course.

So the points after that last race stacked up like this
      1. Alcino 699.6
      2. Tom 686.4
      3. Richard 683.8
      4. Bry 678.0
      5. George 675.9
      6. Ian 675.1
      7. Jeff L. 666.5
      8. Charles 663.7
      9. Mike 660.0

The next event in October had one of the best straights that I have ever had in an autocross but at the end it had a really tight turn into the finish that proved problematic for me.
Alcino codrove Charles 2nd gen camaro and really handed to all of us with the power of the ls equipped camaro. Again this was a small turn out because of some other events going that some of the regulars went to.

Here's the map of my course walk from the previous practice day where its ran in reverse of the champ day.

So we get to November. More of the regulars showed up and we had a field of 13 drivers. Still a few usual suspects were MIA rumored to be at brand GG event.
Chad came down from L.A. and showed us how it was done in his camaro fresh from the optima finally in Vegas. Again a great course. This course and the previous course were on the East lot at Qualcom. Its the smaller lot and occasionally has had problems with the "ditch" crossing. The course designers seem to have figured out how to set up great courses that mange the crossing very well this year. This course had some great sweepers in it.

The CAM C group has diminished over the year. The 2 regulars made it out.

I did get a screen grab of my car. I think I have gone to far with the stiff sway bar in front and no sway bar in the rear.

It has been announced that CAM Challenge West is coming to San Diego Qualcom Stadium in 2017!!!!!!!!

This is really cool. Come race with the biggest local CAM T group in the nation and see why we get great turn outs.

Heads up, Qualcom has a sound DB limit of 93. This is not hard to make. The popular solution is to make what we call a chicken wire burrito and stick it in the tail pipe. You get some chicken wire (their is a Lowes next door to Qualcom) and roll it up and shove it in. Use some wire strung up to a exhaust hanger to hold it in and that usually is enough to pass sound. You dont have to do it till you have broken the sound limit. At this years match tour that was held at the Q, their were no sound infraction. Dont be afraid of the sound, come to San Diego and race muscle cars!!!

The other rumor about Qualcom is the surface sucks. Well it could be better but its the same surface every other person racing there races on so its an even field. A really cool thing about the Q is that the parking lot has some significant elevation changes that makes for some changeling and fun off and on camber turns and some hill climbs and descents.

The 2016 CAM challenge at Fontana was a blast. It was so cool hear around 60 different V8s racing auto cross all day!!! Its worth coming any distance to race in San Diego. The days of Qualcom stadium are numbered and this may be the last national event here. Dont miss this chance to race at one of the biggest autocross lots.
