      Steering Wheel Rim Cover??

I really like my stock wheel but it's thin and slippery. It's actually a bit of a safety hazard. I also like the stock look of it and don't want to go aftermarket. Has anyone had a thin 60's Chevy wheel covered with a thicker rim?

Any good upholsterer should be able to stitch up a leather wrap. They could possible add padding to the inside to bulk it up if need be. That's what I'm planning on mine.

Thanks for the reply. I did think of it an my guy could probably do it. I am going to try a place like Redlinegoods first since they specialize in wheels. If they don't want to do it I will see what my upholsterer says.
