The fuel pressure is internally set by fitech, non adjustable by our hands. I believe it determines the amount of pressure through its own programming. I read that it's set at 58psi out of the box.

Just got my second unit a FiTech Mean street 800HP for my new Blueprint 496. The engine dynode at 601HP. Took me a few days to realized that the tach wire was not connected correctly. When I got that fixed runs great. I need to add more fuel on the startup. The idle is set at 1000, my return is very stiff as well. I will be looking at removing it, to see if it helps. FiTech is running good for me

Very nice!!! Is your air cleaner sitting directly on the FiTech unit? Or are you using some type of gasket/crutch? My meanstreet is smaller than my K&N 12" air cleaner - I am using an 1" o-ring to fit the base of the air cleaner snuggly on the FiTech. It's not working too well as it moves with and off-centers my air cleaner. I would love to know what you're using! Thanks.

hey Andrew idk if I ever responded to this or not earlier and im not trying to be a a-hole about it at all just wanted to clarify for people who do want to run a factory setup. the 4l60e was on 4.8 ls trucks in 2014. I haven't checked but im pretty sure vans still run the 4l variants. there is a conversion for the 6l trucks to retro the 4l kit I think it just is a harness and programing also but idk how cost effective it would be over a new harness.

Can these be used with a Distributorless Ignition for BBC? Do they control timing?

Not sure about distributorless but it should work, and their GO EFI 4 and higher will control timing.

      Hello !

6 months ago I've installed the meanstreet EFI system on a Edel performer rpm engine, about 400hp, it works really well but now I'm thinking about more hp and for the moment an engine swap is not really on my budget so I'm looking for a cheap method to add HP without modifying or swapping the engine.

do you know if we can only replace the meanstreet internal MAP sensor by a 2.5 or 3 bar unit to make it compatible with turbocharger and add a MSD BTM or we are compelled to buy the power adder version ? I don't want to go above 600-650hp

"The map sensor is integrated directly into the ECU so replacing it is not possible.

You are not able to run any boost levels as the system has no idea how to tune for them." Fitech answer

I'm with you on this as I want to pressurize my 416 with an old Mr. Norms Paxton. Nothing more than 6 psi. I thought long and hard on this and just purchase EFI 4 PA and just wont use all the features until I get ready to rebuild the engine again and drop the compression. I figure for the extra $100 I'll control fans or something with it.

I've still not decided what to do but If I buy the Fitech unit it will be the PA 1200hp cause I don't know if I will be compelled to run E85 or not, and with E85 we had to reduce the amount of HP that the system can support by 30% so 420hp with the Go EFI 600 won't be sufficient for a 600hp engine

For those of you running the corvette style regulator with short return, do you just block off the return port on the FItech TB or is there another method? What would you use to block the return port? Thanks
