I used an Autokraft pan on my LSX454 in a 1969 Camaro.

Thanks, I also found this one. I guess the best options have trap doors and windage treys to keep oil going to the pick up tube in high speed turns.

Nothing but great reviews for this pan, wish I had gone with it. I have the Mast pan, no troubles yet, but baffling isn't near as good.

The Speedtech (formerly ATS) is also a great pan but does require a remote filter.

it seems like a lot of owners are liking the autokraft pan, but is anyone concerned about a total 6 quart capacity with a high revving 454?

      Yea what He said.
There are a couple advantages to the Remote filter. We use a standard Chevy filter so it is probably twice the filtering area, which will allow for a higher flow rate with less restriction. We also have a complete kit available with the mount an fitting and hose we include a K&N filter this takes the guess work out. The remote mount also has the ports on it to plumb a cooler. That is a big advantage. It uses -12 hose, I think the Moroso uses -10 on their remote pan. That equals about 20% more flow capability.
The pan itself is fully Tig welded in house, pressure tested, and powder coated. Comes with all Stainless studs and flanged lock nuts, aluminum windage tray, the baffles are STANDARD as is the pick up tube. You can use the factory windage tray as well. If you actually price out a comparable pan (if there is one) the pricing is right in line.
