      subframe-to-unibody: mounts & bushing methods

If you're going to keep rubber isolation in place, is the standard donut-style mount really the best setup?

I would think a leaf spring eye style of attachment might be better for PT purposes. It's a smaller degree of movement but still allows some movement. But more importantly, it biases the movement strongly towards longitudinal & vertical directions rather than lateral. I would think this is better for a handling-oriented vehicle. The long & vert compliance would help cushion road bumps. The limited lateral movement would keep the "feel" tighter.

      Any thoughts?

I know fully solid mounts would handle better in theory but that's not my question.
